For the past 12 years Carton Express has been providing carton solutions for growers, packing companies, re-packers, brokers and carton manufacturers, alike.  With each year that passes the need to become more environmentally responsible increases, unfortunately so does the cost of such responsibility in the form of landfill and all the associated costs for "non-recyclable materials" i.e. WAX CARTON.

 

Carton Express is proud to be part of Zero Waste Management programs for three major packing companies in the Salinas and surrounding areas. We estimate that in the last three years alone, Carton Express was able to divert over 6,000,000 pounds of wax carton from the landfill.  At a cost of $70.00 a ton, plus service fees we estimate that Carton Express saved local companies approximately $250,000.00

​Through a recent collaborative agreement Carton Express, LLC will be recycling wax carton and diverting to Enviro-Log.®   Enviro-Log® is an eco-friendly, consumer products and recycling company headquartered in Fitzgerald, Ga.   Enviro-Log is the largest waxed cardboard recycler in North America and the third largest producer of manufactured firelogs in the U.S.   Its firelogs are made of 100 percent recycled materials and burn cleaner than wood while providing 50 percent more heat per pound.

Our business model diverts wax carton to Mexico where the carton is used as totes, or it may be baled and shipped to Enviro-Log® in each case saving thousands in landfill costs and a decreased cost for pick up service.  Service areas include:

PACKING COMPANIES & RE-PACK SITES:  Pick up and Removal of used WAX CARTON, on a weekly, bi-weekly or on-call.

CARTON MANUFACTURERS: Pick up and Removal of OBSOLETE (new), WAX CARTON, on an on-call basis, i.e., Georgia Pacific, International Paper, Co., WestRock, VGS, etc.

GROWERS: Pick up and Removal OBSOLETE (new) and used WAX CARTON, on an on-call basis to assist with yard clean up.

Wax carton may be considered OBSOLETE for one or more reasons listed below:

• Weather damage

•  Red Tagged

• Health Sanitation

• Misprinted

• Company closure

• Label change

• Excess inventory

• Used carton that has been repacked

• Rejected due to trucking accident

• Rejected for other reasons
